The Altadena Build Study
A six-scene construction study tracing one residence from bare lot to completed home. Produced as the JMB Builders brand film, it communicates our design language—dark roof planes, pale stone, precise glazing, layered volumes—rather than documenting a specific project.

The study follows a single camera position from string lines to finished architecture: the site, the plan, the structure, the envelope, the completed home, and the craft of its final details. The architectural language—broad dark cantilevered rooflines, pale stone, black-framed glazing—is the visual standard we bring to conversations with Altadena homeowners and their design teams.
Every frame is composed from the same vantage and lighting logic, so the sequence reads as one continuous act of building. That continuity mirrors how we run projects: each stage setting the conditions for the next, with no visible seams.

- Conceptual visualization — not a completed JMB project
The film and stills on this site are brand-film visualizations of our design language — conceptual imagery, not photographs of a completed JMB project.
If this is the language of home you want to build in Altadena, the conversation starts the same way every JMB Builders project does.
Your project belongs here.
We are building this portfolio one careful project at a time. If you want your Altadena home to be part of what comes next, the conversation starts the same way every build does.
